How did it get to be May already?
Life has been busy, busy busy. Not an awful lot of quilting, but a little sewing here & there.
My hubby had a business trip the beginning of May, and I went along to spend the weekend with our daughter. Lots of love, laughs, shopping, hugging & mugging for the camera.
Darling daughter was quite pleased with her minkee blanket (giraffe print on one side, chocolate brown on the other) that I made for her new abode.
Everytime I make something from minkee, I swear I never will again...but I do. The chocolate brown was odd. Depending on the light, it read either brown or purple! I wasn't sure what I was going to back the giraffe with, until DD called and asked if she could have purple for the backing, as she had just painted her (huge) bedroom purple!
Pinning it together was a trial, until I ran out of pins & used binding clips instead. Necessity is the motherhood of invention they say,,,,I'll never use pins on minkee again! The binding clips held it without puckering or pulling. Genius!
Made a few more sunhats for the grandbaby, worked on a tova top. I got my muslin done and sized and
FELL and broke my wrist!!!
I guess that's the end of my sewing for 6 weeks. gggggggggrrrrrrrr (I did manage to make a sun hat, but it hurt like the dickens!)
Till next time.
